Cartier. A Pair of Gold and Diamond Double Clip
A pair of gold and diamond clips in a stylised leaf design, each set with three brilliant‑cut diamonds at the centre of the leaf and a single brilliant‑cut diamond at the top.
Cartier, established in Paris in 1847, became internationally celebrated in the early 20th century for its refined yet inventive jewellery, especially from the Art Deco era into the 1940s. Leaf and botanical motifs recur in Cartier work of the period, often expressed with fluid, stylised forms and brilliant gemstones to balance natural inspiration with architectural clarity.
Mounted in 18ct yellow gold.
American, circa 1940.
